Digital Assembly of Complex Equipment Driven by Digital Twin

Presentation Abstract

Assembly is a key part of the equipment manufacturing process. Traditional digital assembly technology is difficult to meet the demand for high-precision and high-efficiency assembly modeling and simulation of complex equipment due to the lack of real measurement data. Digital twin technology brings a new opportunity for digital assembly of complex equipment. The report focuses on the key technologies and engineering applications of digital assembly of complex equipment driven by digital twin. Based on the analysis of the connotation and characteristics of digital twin, the key technologies of complex equipment assembly modeling, simulation and performance prediction are explained, and the system development and typical engineering application cases of Zhejiang University research team are introduced.


Biography

Tan Jianrong, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, the first "The National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars" project recipient, distinguished professor of Zhejiang University, deputy director of Academic Committee of Zhejiang University, chief engineer of Industrial Technology Research Institute of Zhejiang University, head of department of Design Engineering and Automation of Zhejiang University, honorary chairman of China Engineering Graphics Society, chairman of China Big Data Technology and Application Alliance.

He is mainly engaged in research on innovative design and intelligent manufacturing of complex equipment, and has undertaken a number of national key research projects, including the National 973 Project, the Innovative Research Group Project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the National Science and Technology Major Project. The research achievements were awarded 4 Second Prizes of National Science and Technology Progress Award, 1 Second Prize of National Technical Invention Award. The teaching achievements were awarded 3 National Excellent Teaching Achievement Awards (including 1 First Prize and 2 Second Prizes), and 1 First Prize of National Excellent Teaching Material Construction Award.
